Tuesday July 27th, 2010

Today we spent a lot of time enjoying the natural beauty of Maui. We started at Napili Bay for some snorkeling and although hestitant at first I followed Camron around to a secluded area close to a peninsula.

Over the duration of our trip it seemed like we would indefinitely find turtles wherever we went. This time we found lots! We swam with about 8-10 different turtles the entire time! Here are some pictures and a video :)

(In the second to last photograph there was a lot of debris or plankton, but the picture turned out kind of cool)

While we were snorkeling we saw some pretty neat fish! Here are a few of them :)

(We're not sure what these are)

(White Spotted Puffer Fish)

(Moorish Idol Fish)

(Snowflake Moray Eel)

(Spiny Puffer)

(Crab)

While we were snorkeling we noticed some locals jumping off of the rocks. Here is a picture of someone in mid air and a few of the scenery around us.

Another fun part of snorkeling today was diving down to find treasures! Since Napili Bay is right next to a golf course there were quite a few balls in some of the underwater plants.

We also found some pretty neat shells! We were told to not take shells and rocks from the beach but I couldn't leave this one!

One of the best things about Maui is it's beautiful trees, plants, and flowers! Here are some snaps of gorgeous flowers!

(Camron really wanted to climb a coconut tree! I said no!)

(Coconuts!)

We headed back to Lahaina for dinner again tonight :) Here are a few pictures we took while waiting for our buzzer.

(This guy was blowing fire and twirling fire on this little beach)

Dinner was great!

After dinner Camron was being really silly...or maybe he just had too many mai tais!

Well tomorrow we leave Maui at 1:00 and we'll be in Oregon by evening! We are both ready although we had a blast here! We've called the airlines a few times to ask about bringing things back. If all goes well we'll make it home with these babies to share!

(Seriously the best pineapple we've ever had! We're also bringing home some coconuts!)

Miss you all and we'll see you soooooooooon!!!
