Friday July 23rd, 2010

Today was an easy day :) We got a digital underwater camera and headed to Honolua Bay. Later in the evening we went on a dinner cruise.

(Honolua Bay - a popular spot for snorkeling)

(The bay has a rocky beach)

(Here fishie fishie fishie)

(Cam spotted this octopus hiding in a crevice)

(Look at that cute little diver!)

(Hellllllllooooooooo!)

After our snorkeling this afternoon we realized that the camera had a special underwater setting...oops! Hopefully our next pictures turn out even better!

Before our dinner cruise Cam and I found a couple of things to snap photos of:

(Sheer excitement over this ice cream cone!)

(Camron and his buddy Fred)

Our night out on the dinner cruise was very entertaining, and by entertaining I mean Camron and I were entertaining ;) We had a blast! We boarded the Ocean Discovery boat at 5:45 and were seated across from two of the cutest little French ladies on the planet!

(Just sat down - Great musician behind us)

(Great view of the island)

(This picture reminds me of Waldo Lake)

(The big island of Hawai'i in the distance)

Our dinner was delicious! Four courses: Taro breadsticks and spinach artichoke dip; house salad, steak topped with mushrooms served with rice and vegetables, and taro bread pudding and brownies!

(Free range Hawaiian beef!)

(The brownies were really gooey and the desert plate was drizzled with caramel)

Things started to get really fun during the sunset! People were getting up and walking around the boat trying to get the perfect picture of the sunset. Someone else made friends with the captain...

(Boom! That just happened)

(Cam and the Captain)

We did, also, get a few good pictures of the sunset and of us!

(Having a great time!)

(Beautiful!)

(Sailboats in the distance)

(Moi and some lady sticking out from my body :)

(The neighboring island of La'nai)

(Awe!)

It was another great night! Camron and I had a lot of laughs with our new friends and at one point when I asked our waiter to help me with a picture Cam switched places with him, walked around, and picked up everyone's cups from their tables. He was telling everyone that he was a new waiter ;) He is too funny and by George we never have a dull moment!
(A picture of a picture :) When we got off the boat pictures that had been taken before boarding were waiting for us. We liked it so we paid the $$ to get a little keepsake picture and frame.

Well it's time for bed because Cam and I will be getting up in 4 hours at 2:00 a.m. to take a trip to the top of Haleakela Mountain! Our early morning will consist of watching the sun rise atop the moutain and then riding bikes all the way down to the bottom!
